Maintenance Tech: Job Description

  • Responsible for the Routine/Preventive maintenance vessels, cranes, pumps, bobcat/skid-steer, and other mechanical items used by the employees of TPG Marine
  • Ability to trouble shoot any problems that any of the above items may be experiencing
  • Has a strong background in maintenance and engine repairs (preferred an experienced Diesel Mechanic)
  • Preferred, but not required, experience with electricity and its applications to our system at TPG Marine
  • Performs with little supervision / a self-motivator
  • Performs daily inspections of various equipment and reports such activities daily via Daily Maintenance logs that are given to the Operations Manager or GM
  • Ability to operate or know the operations for the various pieces of equipment that is used at TPG Marine
  • Maritime mechanical or maintenance experience a plus, but not required
  • No fear of water
  • Ability to constantly learn about the various pieces of equipment to be maintained, especially the various vessels and how they operate
  • Other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or GM
